On 18 and 19th September, EU Code Week Consortium and Community met in
Madrid to validate and celebrate the achievements of the first year:

10 million young people across Europe have now taken part in the initiative, gaining valuable digital and coding skills.

43 consortium partners together with the 45 community partners, edu coordinators, ambassadors and lead teachers are the ones who made this possible!

Annie Bergh, Code Week Council President: “To me the importance of the collaboration cannot be emphasized enough. Collaboration brings together people of all ages, from different backgrounds, countries and cultures. Through collaboration we are reaching out to more students, learn together and also from each other. Collaboration gives EU Code Week its real strength and visibility by being inclusive and welcoming.”

During EU Code Week Year 1 (1 July 2024 - 30 June 2025) ECWT as Coordinator of the Nordic Regional Hub reported 209 activities and 29,534 participants. However this is just the beginning! The Nordic Regional Hub´s stakeholders and partners are committed to demonstrate that the Nordic Region will be the leading region in Europe in regard to joining the Coding - Computational Thinking - Digital Skills ecosystems by 2030.

EU Code Week unites partners across Europe to celebrate 10M participants and launch the 2025 edition. Join us 11–26 Oct for coding, creativity & more!

The 10th @ Girl Tech Fest at Teknisk Museum in Oslo with 200+ girls, 14 tech businesses, 80+ women in leading position in the tech sector in Norway and the presence of Karianne Tung, Minister for Digitalisation and Public Governance was a powerful jubilee celebration.

This unique school day from 09:00- 13:30 offered 14 different workshops, each and every one of them organized in partnership with businesses: create your own cartoon with artificial intelligence (Bouvet), crack the code (EY), AI Ethical School Program (Deloitte), program a friend (Spier Group), Sphero robots (Telia), build your own bank (Sparebank1), prototypes for app development (Atea), create your own gaming universe in Roblox (NetCompany), my dream app (Sopra Steria), cooperative game with balls (Twoday), The Rechnology Adventure (BEKK), With a twinkling heart for technology (EIKA), Imagicharms (Webstep) and How can technology improve everyday life in the future? (ADVANIA).

And the girls - all of them could choose 3 workshops during the day - passionately enjoyed experimenting with what technology is good for and what their personal interest is!

We who participated believe that with better diversity and gender balance prejudices are not coded into the digital solutions and products that are developed.

The aim of the visit was precisely to demonstrate that we will together serve as good examples and role models for the girls by showing our commitment and showcase the joys of technology.

And Girl Tech Fest today, the 22nd of October was not just celebrated is Oslo, but also in:

From mechanics to mechatronics and much more, these were the topics discussed during the event organized by the COMET - Cluster della Metalmeccanica del FVG in collaboration with ialweb.it, both partners of our projects.

⚙ The educational session also included the distribution of an educational kit to the students, a sort of microelectronics lesson "in a box" to promote a learning by doing approach.
