A Day at Bergvang Besøksgård
Today, my son and I took a little trip to Bergvang Besøksgård, and it turned into one of the loveliest days we’ve had in a long time. The farm felt like a living animal fairytale, full of life, sounds and curious little faces waiting to meet us.
As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by a whole world of animals: pigs and even mini pigs running around, friendly-looking horses, sheep enjoying the attention, and alpacas oh, so cute! There were also ducks, peacocks, chickens, turkeys and even guinea pigs that seemed to be having their own little conversations. And of course, some kind dogs keeping an eye on everything.
The absolute highlight was getting to feed the sheep. My son absolutely loved it. It was clearly his favorite part of the day. He held out his hand carefully, and the sheep came closer, sniffing and eating calmly from his palm. He laughed so heartily, and I felt a warm moment of pure joy. It was something so simple, yet so magical.
The alpacas were a chapter of their own. They were so beautiful and calm, and there were even baby alpacas there. Tiny, fluffy, and incredibly cute. They stood close to their mamas, and we got to stand right next to them and admire them. My son whispered, “They look like teddy bears,” and I couldn’t help but agree.
We walked around for almost two hours, took photos, laughed, and let ourselves be swept up in the good vibes. It was a day filled with presence, nature, and beautiful memories, exactly the kind of days I want to fill our everyday life with here in Norway.
When we left, my son was tired but happy. “Can we come back?” he asked. And yes, I think we absolutely will.
