Do they really eat this?

Smalahove is a macabre meal and one of the most notorious Norwegian traditional dishes. You eat everything on the sheep’s head and are left with a scrubbed skull. The toughest even eat the eyes!

Smalahove was an everyday food in the old days when food was scarce. Today it is mostly a party food. Smalahove is a dish that is often consumed with mixed feelings of terror and joy. The skull is a challenging sight, but even the most sceptics admit that the meat itself is fantastic.

Vi lanserer den 3. utgaven av boken "Nordmenn" ti år etter at vi ga ut den første utgaven. Boken er skrevet på norsk og tilpasset norske lesere. Vi bruker mange av de samme kjente illustrasjonene som i de populære engelske bøkene i serien "The Social Guidebook to Norway".

I boken lærer du om hvordan den norske kulturen kan bli oppfattet eller misforstått, og du blir bedre forberedt på å jobbe og kommunisere med mennesker fra andre kulturer.

We are very excited to release "High on the Pear", our first book about the Norwegian language! The book presents, in Norwegian and English, useful Norwegian expressions with a funny English translation. We explain the meaning of these expressions in both languages and with full-page illustrations.
