On this Biafra Remembrance Day, we pause to honor the memory of all those who lost their lives during one of the most painful chapters in our history. We hold dear the memory of their courage, sacrifice, and perseverance.
Today, however, is a day not just for remembering, but for reflection. It provides an opportunity to appreciate the pain they experienced, how their lives were shortened, and how subsequent generations have been forever affected by events of years past.
It is not only a day of mourning in which we pay tribute to those who came before us, but also a day to renew our promise to uphold the principles of justice, equality, and peace, and the preservation of our history. The lessons learned from those who came before us shall continue to motivate future generations to remain steadfast in their values, cherish their heritage, and aspire to achieve their dreams through unrelenting dedication. Let us keep their legacies alive, and let us allow their stories to lead us towards a better tomorrow based on integrity, unity, hope, and liberty.
