Can’t decide what to eat? At Bergen Street Food, you’ll find several different kitchens under one roof – so everyone can choose exactly what they’re craving.

We tried birria tacos from Vamos Tacos and popcorn shrimp from Fjord Shack – and the tacos were definitely our favourite. 🌮

Sometimes the best places are the ones you never planned to visit.

All I saw was a small sign that said “Bakery”, so of course I had to stop.

A few metres from the main road, I found Solheim bakstehus – a charming self-service bakery beautifully located right by the river.

Grab a fresh pastry, find a seat by the water and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

The bun was soft, fresh and definitely worth the stop.

Hidden at the end of Buer Valley outside Odda, you’ll find Buer restaurant overlooking the spectacular Buarbreen glacier.

We visited during the summer season, when they serve a smaller seasonal menu. Throughout the rest of the year, they offer a larger tasting menu based on local ingredients.

Head Chef Erlend Stueland, who previously worked at the Michelin-starred restaurant BARE in Bergen, has helped create a dining experience that fits perfectly into these incredible surroundings.

We all ordered the burger, which was juicy and delicious… but after tasting the local white fish, we all wished we’d ordered that instead.

Tvindefossen is one of Norway’s most accessible waterfalls, located just a few minutes from the main road near Voss.

Despite how easy it is to reach, standing in front of the waterfall makes it feel far more impressive than you’d expect.

Whether you’re exploring Western Norway or simply passing through, this is a stop that’s well worth adding to your route.

Some places simply have to be experienced. 🌿

Bordalsgjelet is a dramatic gorge just outside Voss, carved by water and ice over thousands of years. Today, you can walk safely through the gorge and experience its towering cliffs, giant potholes, and the power of the river up close.
