BoardGameGeek posted the preview list for SPIEL Essen today. We will release two new titles: Recall, a spiritual successor to Revive, and Tax the Rich, a trick-taking game about the redistribution of wealth.

Which Essen titles are you looking most forward to?

Tax the Rich is a must follow trick-taking game. You can lead with any card – except The President. If you win a trick with The Poor, you can tax the rich, and steal a trick from the player with most tricks. This is hard, but if all cards in your hand have a red flag, you can start a Class Revolution, turning the social hierarchy upside down.

The 15 different characters in the deck have different rules, but only a few of them are used in each game, making each play different.

Instead of taking money from the poor to give tax breaks to billionaires, why don't we tax the rich?

Tax the rich is a trick-taking game featuring a deck of characters from various social ranks, from the Poor to the President. Will you climb to the top or plot a revolution to turn the hierarchy upside down? Or perhaps start a feminist revolution? With rule-bending character abilities, no two games will play the same.

Tax the Rich will be released at SPIEL, Essen in October.
