Anita Iren Karlsen is a singer and songwriter from Tromsø, in the north of Norway..
She started to sing in her mothers band, Mix Entertainment, when she was 8 years of age. They travelled all over Norway, performing with cover songs. Later she sang backing vocals on albums with local artists K.M.Myrland and Jan Arvid Johansen.
Anita Iren Karlsen has a great talent as both singer and songwriter. She was 20 years old when she started writing her own music, and the songs on the album Mirror are demos written and recorded 1995-2002. She has written hundreds of songs.
Anita had to prioritise family from early on, as she became a mother at 17, and for many years, she just co-worked at different projects for other artists and made a few movie tracks.
Her cooperation with Danish producer Henrik Littauer has lasted 25 years, and Mirror is recorded in his tiny studio.
More recently, Anita Iren Karlsen has also recorded in Plugged Records’ Studio in Stockholm, and in Stargate in Trondhjem. All songs with her own vocals, awaiting release.
Today Mirror is out on all digital platforms.
