Ken and Sarah came to Tromsø for a walk and ended up getting the full story: the history, the murals, the bunad, and one thing hidden in plain sight that most people walk right past.

They came to Tromsø as strangers. Two hours later, this was the table.

Tobias took another small group through the streets of Tromsø.

There wasn’t one particular landmark or story they singled out afterwards.

They simply loved the experience.

And maybe that’s the point.

A good city tour isn’t always about checking as many sights as possible off a list.

It’s having time to ask questions. Hear the little local stories. Talk to your guide. Talk to each other. And eventually sit down around a table with something warm to drink and something baked from FINT.

That’s one of the reasons we keep our groups small.

We want you to leave Tromsø having seen the city.

But more importantly, having felt a little closer to it.

The best parts of Tromsø aren’t always the things you find on Google.

Earlier this week I had the pleasure of showing Deborah and her fellow travellers from Australia around Tromsø. 🇦🇺

What they appreciated most wasn’t just seeing the main sights.

It was all the little things in between.

The local stories. The details you might otherwise walk straight past. The artwork of Marit Bockelie. The small pieces of Tromsø that make the city more than just another destination on a map.

We finished the walk at FINT with something baked, a warm drink and more conversation.

That’s exactly what I want our tours to be.

Not rushing from landmark to landmark.

Just a small group, a local guide and enough time to actually get to know Tromsø.

Thank you, Deborah and company, for spending the morning with me. It was a pleasure showing you my city.
