The single La Sirena di Siracusa by Alf Wilhelm Lundberg was released this weekend, we hope that the eternal sadness of the Mermaid gets to scream out in this piece that lasts less than three minutes but strangely somehow feels eternal. This piece is for everyone that has experienced sorrow, loss and fear of loosing someone they love. Alf wrote this piece when his dad got cancer last year. After the operation his dad was really weak, but luckily he managed to gradually get back in shape! This story at least tells that there is hope even when everything seems hopeless and difficult, and thus Alf dedicates this piece to his dad that managed to rise again despite all odds! Some of the greatest things that happened to me in the last years was to reunite with my long-time friend and musical partner Gionni Di Clemente! We played a lot together and toured Italy, Norway and Germany from 2010-2012, and we even recorded an album in in that period.. There were a lot of great moments in the recording, however I was too obsessed by getting all the details perfect that I forgot about the most important element in music, THE MAGIC! We finally got the time to dig deeper in the recordings and letting ourself go with the obsession of having each piece played perfectly, and VOILA, the magic came out in abundance! Actually, there are a lot of magical moments in this album as well as small imperfections.. But I think that this creates an organic music that really lives in the moment and is exciting to listen to! We brought 4 original compositions each to this album, and the way we have orchestrated each other’s compositions for our extended range guitars I find simply unique and exciting, maybe never heard in a guitar duo as far as I know..! 🙂 The album is called Metamorfosi, and we chose a photo of the Northern Light taken by my wife at our house earlier this autumn! But suddenly this night when our music slipped into the universe there were lots of Northern lights in Gionni’s (and my wife’s) home region Abruzzo! So we hope you like our album “Metamorfosi”, and that you find just as magical as the northern lights! The photo is from this summer with one of our common heroes and another musical magician, Egberto Gismonti! ❤️🎶🎸🎵😱💥

This year we released two amazing albums, Suite for the Seagulls with Norchestra & Gnu Quartet, and Peninsula with Simon Övinge! In 2023 we will record and release even more exciting music so stay tuned, we can’t wait to start recording and releasing new music..! :) And thanks to everyone who supported, bought and listened to our music this year..!
