Introducing Skage Larsen! «Joy» is out now everywhere.

Reflecting his compositions around different sets of moods, Skage Larsen and his quartet have made a record we are so eager to share with you. Though heavily influenced by the American jazz tradition, other genres such as pop, soul and classical music have found their way into their sound, offering a new and modern twist. Their first single «Joy» is out today.

The jazz quartet consists of Skage on vibraphone, Sondre Moshagen on piano, Tarald Kongshaug on bass and Steinar Heide Bø on drums, as well as a feature from Kirsti Huke on vocals.

Released today is the double single «Dark Blue / Wild Blue» from singer Björg Blöndal‘s C4THERINE (vocals, vibraphone, electric guitar and drums). Being the dynamic super-force she is, Björg’s soundscape is harmonically interesting, lingering somewhere between dreamy jazz and rock(!).
