Nepali Jame Masjid Kathmandu The current mosque was built in 1990/1991AD replacing the ancient mosque. The mosque has three complexes viz. a prayer hall, an annexe and a madrasah.

The Muslim Community of Kathmandu, established this religious site in 15th century, during the reign of Malla dynasty King Ratna Malla of Kathmandu valley (1484-1520AD). The tombs of Begam Hazrat Mahal (1820-07 April, 1879 A.D.) are insside the premises.
