My parents once told me, “No matter how wise you are, if you surround yourself with foolish people, they’ll make you feel like a fool.”
I didn’t understand those words back then.
Today, I experienced it.
Some lessons don’t make sense when you hear them — you only understand them when life makes you feel them.
Now I understand what my mother meant.
