On 2082/04/05, an inhumane, abusive, and disrespectful incident occurred in the Emergency Ward of Malangwa Provincial Hospital Sarlahi with “ Dr. Krishna Jung Shah, MS Orthopedic and Musculoskeletal Oncology Surgeon”.We, the entire healthcare team, strongly condemn this act.
Dr. Shah, who transferred from Bir Hospital to serve the poor, marginalized, and underserved people in peripheral regions, is a calm, highly skilled, humble, and compassionate doctor. Unfortunately, in return for his dedication, he was subjected to verbal abuse and threats—an act that is not only an insult to him personally but to the entire medical community.
Following the incident, an emergency meeting was held in the presence of all doctors, hospital administration, paramedics, and nursing staff.
As of now, all OPD services have been shut down.
