Today on March 17, 2025
On the occasion of Social Work Month, we, BASW students of Shahid Smarak College successfully organized Comprehensive Health Camp (Eye Screening) at Shahid Smarak college in collaboration with Kirtipur Municipality. As we Initially expecting 100 participants, we were thrilled to serve around 170 participants along with students, teachers, and staff!

A huge thank you to all our volunteers, doctors, and participants for making this event a success. 🙌💙

It's not about the borders between countries, the differences between communities, or the states we live in. It's not about caste, religion, or even gender. It's about being human. It's about the safety of human rights. It's about humanity itself.

After hearing about the recent r**e case in Kolkata, I can't help but question myself: Is there no humanity left? How can we continue to live in a society where such horrific acts still happen? This isn't just a failure of law and order; it's a failure of humanity. It makes me wonder if we’ve lost touch with the very essence of what it means to be human. Where is the compassion, the respect for life, the basic decency that should guide us all?

This is more than just an isolated incident; it reflects a deeper, more troubling issue in our society. We can't afford to turn a blind eye. We must confront these questions head-on if we are ever to create a world where everyone can feel safe and valued.
