I used to wonder why Whitebeard never went after Kaido for what happened to Oden too 👀⚓

But honestly, the older I get and the more I think about Whitebeard as a character… the more his decision actually makes sense.

By the time Whitebeard fully found out what happened in Wano, Oden had already been dead for years. Wano was isolated, news barely got out, and there wasn’t really anything he could do to save him anymore.

And starting a massive war against Kaido after all that probably would’ve just gotten a lot more people killed.

That’s the part people forget about Whitebeard.

His crew wasn’t just a pirate crew to him. Those were his sons.

That’s why Marineford happened in the first place. Whitebeard was ready to fight the entire world for Ace because family meant everything to him.

And honestly… I think that same love is exactly why he didn’t go after Kaido earlier.

Because revenge wouldn’t bring Oden back. It would just risk losing even more family.

And knowing how strong Kaido was, Whitebeard probably understood that war would’ve been brutal for everyone involved ⚓💔

So now when I look back at it, his choice doesn’t feel cold at all. It actually feels really sad.

Like he probably carried the pain of losing Oden for years, but chose to protect the family he still had instead of throwing them into a revenge war.

It’s actually crazy to think there are only 4 episodes left before Part 1 of the Elbaf arc ends in the anime 😭🏴‍☠️🔥

After all the years of waiting for Elbaf, the arc already feels huge. We’ve gotten insane lore drops, emotional moments, and some genuinely scary new characters showing up during the Final Saga.

And now it sounds like the anime is gonna stop after around 26 episodes this year before going into another break.

The black flames surrounding Imu may not just be another form of haki, but something darker—“Maki,” which can be broken down as “Ma” meaning demon and “Ki” meaning energy. If haki is born from willpower, then maki may be born from emotions, desires, fear, hatred, and the darker side of the soul. This could explain why Imu feels almost invincible when using Omen, and why his power looks more supernatural than ordinary haki. Fans now believe Joyboy may have created or awakened haki as the natural counter to Imu’s maki, giving ordinary people a weapon to resist domination, devil powers, and demon energy.
