More than holding the politicians and the government accountable, the media supports them. Additionally, the journalist working for large media houses expresses their concerns of low paying jobs and are forced to concentrate on marketing the political leaders of Nepal.

The government has agreed on importing vaccines from various different nations but the immediate action doesn't look promising.

Chettrapati Free Hospital started serving as Covid Hospital from today. With the help of Haami Nepal Youth Organization, the hospital is able to provide ICU, Ventilator and Oxygen for the Covid infected patients.

During the ongoing shortage of oxygen cylinders in Nepal, the youth are getting together to manage and supply to the ones in need. While the elites are hoarding oxygen at home, and the government is not able to handle the state of emergency, the Youth are importing and donating 100 cylinders to the Nepal Armed Police Force.

The hospitals are unable to manage the current pandemic due to the heavy rise in cases. The government restricting oxygen supply has given rise to chaos. The hospitals are resorting to alternatives and asking the youth for support. This morning the team were the first responders to an emergency call for help made by Star hospital. Despite the team's heroic efforts, it is still uncertain as to when Nepal will be able to experience abundant amount of oxygen supply in order to tackle the pandemic.

A massive public protest was held in solidarity with the women’s march to battle the rise in the dismissal of r**e cases without the perpetrators being held in trial for the same.

This protest was fuelled by debates that have surfaced regarding the new rule proposed by the government that has a direct impact on women’s free movement by implementing travel restrictions and the government’s clarification regarding this issue.

The protest was targeted directly towards the governance, Nepal’s judiciary system and political parties who have, in the past, and continue to suppress issues related to women’s rights.

Is this a step towards instigating change in a society and a system that is so cantered on patriarchy?
