Today, 13 August 2026, marks the 100th birth anniversary of Comrade Fidel Castro—an extraordinary revolutionary who dedicated his life to Cuba’s independence, socialism, and national dignity.

Under Fidel’s leadership, the Cuban Revolution defeated dictatorship, resisted decades of imperialist aggression, and built a society founded on universal healthcare, education, literacy, and social equality. His internationalism reached far beyond Cuba through medical missions, educational cooperation, and solidarity with liberation struggles across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

Fidel showed the world that even a small nation can stand with courage when its people are organized, politically conscious, and determined to defend their sovereignty.

A century after his birth, his revolutionary courage, anti-imperialist conviction, and commitment to oppressed peoples continue to inspire struggles for justice and human dignity.

27 July — Victory Day of the Korean People 🇰🇵

On 27 July 1953, under the leadership of Comrade Kim Il Sung, the Korean people stood firm through three years of devastating war, resisted imperialist intervention, and defended their sovereignty, dignity, and independence.

In the DPRK, this historic day is commemorated as Victory Day—a symbol of courage, sacrifice, resistance, and the determination of a people to defend their homeland against overwhelming force.

26 July — A Day of Revolutionary Courage in Cuba 🇨🇺

On 26 July 1953, young Cuban revolutionaries led by Fidel Castro attacked the Moncada Barracks, challenging the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista. The action did not succeed militarily, but it became the beginning of a revolutionary movement that transformed Cuba’s history.

The 26th of July Movement came to represent resistance to dictatorship, foreign domination, inequality, and the concentration of land and wealth. It carried the aspirations of workers, peasants, students, and ordinary Cubans who sought national sovereignty, social justice, dignity, education, health, and a better future.

On this historic day, salute and profound respect to Commander Fidel Castro whose leadership, courage, and determination became inseparable from the Cuban Revolution and its defence of national sovereignty and social transformation.

More than seven decades later, 26 July remains a powerful symbol of the belief that organised and determined people can challenge seemingly unshakeable systems of power.

Respect to the Cuban people, salute to Fidel Castro, and solidarity with their enduring struggle for sovereignty, dignity, and social justice.

क. जेनीले सबैभन्दा पहिले घरमा खबर गर्न जानु भएछ । बारीमा घाँस काटिरहेकी जीवनसंगिनी सुनकुमारीलाई भेटेर दाइ मरिसक्नु भयो भाउजु । बम पड्केर - दुर्घटना भयो । सुनकुमारीका लागि ठुलो बज्रपात, भर्खरै खाना खाएर छुटेको जीवनसाथीको मृत्युको खबर । अक्कमक्क, भक्कानिएर रुँदै घट्नास्थलतिर लागिन् । यता क. जेनी भने - भाउजु म साथीहरूलाई खबर गर्न जान्छु भनेर हिँड्नु भएछ । घटनास्थलमा सुनकुमारी पुग्दा - आफ्नो जीवनसाथीलाई बिजोग र बेहोश देखिन् - शरीरका कपडाहरू शरीरमै जलिरहेको देखिन्, रगतै-रगतले भिजेको ठाउँ, रक्ताम्य शरीर देखिन्," हतारहतार गाईँभैसीलाई कुँडो खुवाउने काठको भाँडोबाट पानी लिँदै शरिरमा खन्याउँदै आगो निभाइन् - रगत पुछिन्, पानी खुवाइन् ।

🌾 National Rice Day & Paddy Planting Day 2083
