जब बुद्ध थे तो भीड़ उनके साथ न थी;
अब भीड़ उनके साथ है।

अभी मैं हूं तो भीड़ मेरे साथ नहीं है।

दो हजार साल बाद तुम आना और देखना, भीड़ तुम मेरे साथ पाओगे; लेकिन तब वह बेकार होगी, तब मैं पुराना हो चुका होऊंगा।
तब दो हजार साल में मेरी बातों पर खूब धूल जम चुकी होगी और
पंडित-पुजारियों ने उसके सब अर्थ विकृत कर दिए होंगे।

सत्य को बार- बार नया- नया आना पड़ता है, क्योंकि पंडित - पुजारी उसको सदा व्यर्थ कर देते हैं, खराब कर देते हैं।

इसे बदलने का कोई उपाय नहीं।
