Great news for aviation enthusiasts! The Kathmandu airport has recently installed a localizer system that became operational on runway 02 from April 20, 2023. This new technology allows inbound planes to perform a Localizer DME approach, providing precise lateral guidance to ensure safe and efficient landings. Pilots can now navigate their aircraft with ease along the correct flight path, thanks to the advanced technology in place. Furthermore, pilots can access localizer runway 02 charts to obtain all the necessary information for successful landings. These enhancements make Kathmandu airport better equipped to manage the increasing air traffic in the area.
