Ghosts don't exist? I thought the same throughout my life. I was forced to quit the thought that it didn't exist. Since we moved to the new place, I always felt like someone's with me. It felt like I was being followed at every corner of the home.

Even strange things happed after few days. It was a busy long day. I returned back tired & exhausted. I took my foods and went straight to the bed. I just laid on the bed and took a deep breath, and there was another deep long breath behind me. I quickly turned my head! No one was there. Strange! I ignored it and started scrolling through my mobile. I was looking at my mobile when I saw something by the corner of my eye. It was a black human-looking shadow thing. It squinted at the corner of the room, nothing was there. "Seems like I am too tired", I said to myself. I started looking at my phone again. The black thing repapered at the same corner again. I ignored it and starting playing some games, the black thing appeared to grow bigger. It was rapidly getting closer to me. I turned my head quickly, everything seemed normal. It was difficult to notice anything abnormal. I started sensing some fear within me. However, I continued at my game and the black thing was again seen by the corner of my eye. It again stated moving towards me rapidly. Just besides my face it stopped and I felt like it was staring at me. It made me scream. I reckon it wasn't a loud one, as it seemed that no one heard me. I was terrified and I went to my sister room with the excuse of talking to her about her academics. I could not stay at her room for long as she told that she was sleepy. I returned to my room and went to bed, switching all the lights. After I laid into the bed, everything seemed fine for first few minutes. But after a while, it felt like someone was besides with me in my bed. I could hear breathing besides me. Every breath I take was duplicated. When I held my breath for a while, it stopped as well. It was terrifying.

Next day, I told my sister about it. She refused to believe it and started taunting me. After a while, our discussion came into the agreement of swapping rooms for a night. Next morning, she said that she had similar experiences. We told it to our parents and a jharki was called. (not exactly jharki, but since I don't remember the exact word for him I am calling him jhakri). He confirmed that there's some spirit roaming around me and my sister, since we don't do the puja and other cultural rituals. He provided with the solution to the problem as well. Then, we were made to perform some rituals and pujas for more than week. After the rituals were complete after about couple of weeks, we stopped experiencing such things.

It made me think that maybe these spirits do exists or maybe not. However, it made me believe that these things do happen.

I cleared my school and was ready to join new college. As my residence was really far away from the college, I along with my elder brother decided to live on rent somewhere near our colleges. Fortunately, one of our relatives were about to settle abroad leaving their house vacant. They left the country with us on charge of their house. It was a five-story tall house. Me and my brother were living at the top with other flats rented. As only two of us were living at the top, we added a chain gate on the floor and nothing else was changed. We moved into our new place.

Everything went good for couple of weeks. However, one day I was home earlier than I used to. It was around six and my brother was not home yet. I locked the chain gate and went in. I didn't like the idea of staying alone in the house until my brother came back as I was scared. However, I went in and started preparing the meal. After it was prepared, I grabbed some snacks and sat in front of the TV. I was munching on my snacks and watching TV, when I noticed someone pass outside the room with the corner of my eyes. I could not notice who it was, but it was someone on blue dress. I thought someone was going to terrace and kept watching the TV. Suddenly, I remembered that I had locked the chain gate and no one had the keys except for me and my brother. Assuming it to be intruder, I ran towards the terrace to check but I didn't find anyone at the terrace. I got puzzled and returned back to the room. When my brother returned back, I told him the story, but he scolded me and told that I had gone crazy. Even I thought that it was some kind of hallucination and I ignored about it completely.

After few days the spooky thing happened again. But this time, it was my brother who was the victim. We had a single bed room, so we slept in the same room. I was completely asleep, but woke up to the noise of the window. It was a stormy night and there was a wooden window on our room that was impossible to close. The window kept on making the noise whole night. I somehow felt asleep, but my brother was annoyed by the noise and could not sleep whole night. He constantly tried sleeping, but was unable to sleep. He was awake the whole night and then he heard the knock on the door. He thought it was 5 in the morning already and it was milkman. He woke up, washed his face and went to open the door. But, he forgot that the chain gate was locked and he could not knock on the door, he rang the bell always. My brother opened the door and saw a little girl with blue skirt and white shirt. He tried speaking with her to find out who she was, but when he went towards her she disappeared into the thin air. He closed to door "bang", this woke me up , and he came in running and screaming. It was just 2:35 in the morning. We spent that night watching the TV.

We had forgotten those incidents completely and everything was going normal, until one day I decided going on the terrace after a stressing day. It was about to get dark. I went to the terrace to get some fresh air. I looked around the terrace, it was a good view, but something unusual caught my attention. There was a little girl, the same girl, in a blue skirt and white shirt sitting on the parapet wiggling her legs. I got very scared and screamed very loud. After I started screaming, she looked at me, started giggling for a while and then jumped off the edge. This frightened me more and then rushed on to see below from the terrace, but the girl had disappeared already. The giggle and the pretty face of the little girl still scares me.

Few days later another incident happened again. I returned back home late that night. It was around 10 p.m. I opened the chain gate, came in, closed the gate again and decided to wash my hands and legs before entering in the room. As I turned back around, I again saw the same little girl in the same outfit again. She was constantly looking at me with a smile. A smile that was not scary at all, it was a friendly smile, but I went cold and started shivering. I ran into the room screaming my brother's name. When he came out to check, there was no one around, but there was lot of oil spilled on the floor. It was the exact same place where I saw the girl.

We still stayed in the same house for few years. It always felt like someone was watching us. We always felt that there was presence of someone else on the room. However, there were no incidents like the one happened at the past.

Ankit, with his parents, left the village at a very young age. Ankit and his parents settled down in the city, leaving behind old grandparents in the village. Ankit visited his grandparents in the village every year. He returned back to the village on every vacation to spend the time in the village. But, after he completed his school and started his higher education, he was unable to go back to the village due to various circumstances.

It had been long since Ankit hadn't returned back to the village. So, he decided to spend his vacation in the village, after he takes his exams. He decided that he would travel on his on to the village. His grandparents were delighted to see their grandson again. They last saw him when he was a kid and now, he was a grown tall man. For the first time in five years, Ankit was back to his native village. He wanted some walk around the village and visit the places, where he had a vivid memory of his childhood. He started in the evening and visited few places before returning back home. It was dark already when he was returning back.

He was returning back home in the dark, when he heard someone call his name, "Ankit!". He looked back, it was a beautiful lady who was calling his name. The lady asked, "You're Ankit right?". Ankit replied, "Yeah, I am Ankit. Do I know you?". The girl replied, "I am Nikita. We studied in the same school. Remember?" Ankit was unable to recognize her, but when she provided some facts, Ankit believed that they went to school together. Even though he was unable to recognize Nikita, he started talking to her as it seemed as if she was his classmate. They continued back to the village talking about their school and some introductory talks.

Ankit was stunned by the beauty of Nikita. He again went out on the second day in the hope of visiting Nikita again. Luckily, he met Nikita again. They started meeting on a daily basis and both of them gradually started liking each other. Nikita told Ankit that she could come to visit her only in the evening cause she would be busy during the day time. Days past by and they were still going for a walk together every evening. One day, Ankit developed enough courage to confess his love to Nikita. Nikita decided to talk about it next day rushed toward the home. Next day Ankit was eager to know Nikita's response, but she didn't come to meet Ankit next day. Ankit returned back home with sorrow. Next day, he again waited for her, but she didn't arrive. Ankit had lost his patience and he went to search Nikita throughout the village. Finally, he met Nikita near the forest, which was famous in village for spectral reasons. Ankit asked for Nikita's thoughts on his love proposal. Nikita agreed on a condition that Ankit would never touch her back.

Ankit and Nikita were getting closer day-by-day and Ankit was madly in love with Nikita. After few days of relationship, Nikita started visiting Ankit's room every night. She would get in through the room's window and get out through the same window before day-light. A thing that couldn't go unnoticed was that Ankit was getting thinner day by day. His grandparents noticed that he was getting thinner. They asked him if anything was wrong, but he said that everything was going good. Too worried, his grandparents took him to the village doctor. Doctor was unable to detect any illness, but she suggested some vitamins for him. They were hoping for the betterment, but it was getting worse. He continued getting thinner and started getting pale. Grandparents called Dhami for the treatment of their only grandchild. Dhami on his first sight told that the boy was on love with a Kichkanya and the girl is feeding on him. He is getting thinner due to the influence of the Kichkanya. Ankit refused to agree Dhami as he was madly in love with the lady. Dhami left the place instructing the grandparents to bring the boy to him the next day.

Next day, Ankit was taken to Dhami. He still refused to believe that Nikita was Kichkanya. Dhami explained Ankit that the Kichkanyas are extremely beautiful and make young boys like him easily fall on love. She then feeds on the boys and gradually kill them. They only appear at night and have twisted legs or some of them have a huge hole in their back. With is spiritual powers, Dhami found out that the Kichkanya was Nikita, who killed herself by hanging on a tree. She lived with her father and wished to go to the city for education and become a doctor. She failed her SLC examination and killed herself by hanging on a tree. When her father got the news of her su***de, he was rushing back toward the village but lost his life in the accident. When villagers went back to get the dead body, the body had miraculously disappeared from the tree and was never found again. Ankit stilled refused to believe that Nikita was a Kichkanya. Dhami gave him a very long thread and instructed him to tie the thread in her clothes without her noticing it and let it off until it stops, when she visits him that night.

As every night, Nikita visited Ankit's room through the window. When she was about to leave, he tied it on her clothes, without her noticing it, as instructed. He let it off until it stopped. Dhami was called immediately. Dhami, Ankit and Ankit's grandfather followed the thread that started from Ankit's room. It led them to a dense forest, where the thread was buried in the ground. Dhami dug the place to find out the thread tied into a piece of bone. Sounds of girl's scream started from all direction in the middle of forest. There was a loud sound of a girl saying, "Leave me alone or all of you are getting killed !". Ankit and his grandfather got scared, but the Dhami told that it could be solved immediately. Dhami chanted some mantras loud and burned the piece of the bone turning it into a complete ash. As soon as the bone got burnt, the screams stopped.

Gradually, everything was back normal. Ankit started gaining weights and looked healthy. The fact disturbed Ankit for a long time. He returned back to city to rejoin his classes. Gradually, time healed everything.

The story goes back to the time when I was a high school student. I live with my family in the dense part of the city. There are a lot of homes in the area & there were lot of them back in the time too.

I used to study a lot and I waked up till late nights studying. Every night when I tried to sleep , I saw ghosts. I am all aware about the sleep paralysis, but I don't think it was one of those. Every time I try to sleep I see some scary faces. I tried sleeping early for some days, but still it happened. This only happened to me when I slept alone. If I slept with my brother, I didn't experience anything. But, whenever I tried sleeping alone it happened.

One night, like every time it again happened to me. I was fed up & tired of experiencing those. I woke out of my bed and stood up. I took a deep breath and told to myself, how long do I need to experience these. I was exhausted and roaming here and there inside the room, then I saw a small part of window uncovered by the curtains. I walked towards the window to close the curtains. While pulling the curtains, I saw a face looking at me. It was a only the head of a baby. I never saw the face before. Immediately, I had a heavy pressure in the chest. It was too difficult for me to breathe and slowly I couldn't breathe at all. After about couple of minutes I was able to breathe again and the pressure on the chest was gone. After a while, I again heard the voice "Hold him again". The pressure on the chest was back again, but heavier this time. I completely ran out of breathe and started choking. I tried holding the table, I couldn't stand and I feel down to the floor. The jug of water got hit by my hand and it dropped into the floor with the loud sound. My parents rushed into my room to see what was happening. But, as soon as the door opened, the pressure was gone and I started coughing heavily. My father asked me, "What happened? Why are you on the floor and how did the jug fall" ? I couldn't speak a single word. I just pointed towards the window. My mom opened the window and look around. She told that there was nothing.

It took about 15 mins for me to get back to normal. After everything felt normal for me I told them what happened. They were more terrified than I was. I slept with my brother that night. After the day, I stopped experiencing the ghosts when I tried to sleep and nothing ever happened since the day

?

I experienced ghosts (I prefer calling it demons) since I was 14. During nights, I often saw a demon like creature in my room. As a kid I was too frightened. I could not even say what I experienced to my parents cause I would go out of sp*ech whenever I brought it to my mind. Later I knew that it was sleep paralysis. I was taken to the doctor for the treatment. It worked a lot for me, but was never completely cured. I still had those frightening experiences, but not as frequently as I did before. I got those experiences so often that it didn't scare me anymore.

It was a long time since I experienced it, when I again experienced it one night. I saw the demon standing at the corner of the room. It walked toward me, touched my hand, gave a creepy smile and dissolved into the wall that separated my & my parents room. It emerged back again through the same wall, again came to me and then jumped out of the balcony. I said to my self "Ahh! Not again". But, something that couldn't go unnoticed was the demon. It was not the one that I always saw (Everytime I saw the same demon since I first experienced it). It was a different creature & this put me into the thought. Next night, same happened, it came walking through the corner, touched my hand, smiled, dissolved into the wall, came back again and jumped out of balcony. It regularly happened for 4 days then I decided telling my mom that I starting experiencing the paralysis again.

Next morning, I went to my mom to say her that its back again, but she was gazing. I asked her, "Mom! What happened?", she questioned me, "Are you experiencing some strange activities these days"? I thought that sleep paralysis has happened to me for years, so I replied "No. Why, what's wrong"? She said, "It has been 4 days, at about 11 in the night, a strange creature emergers through the walls of your room, touches my hand, smiles at me and again dissolves back to the same wall". This got me frightened. She added, "I told your dad about this and he said that he saw it too". This scared the hell out of me. I started shaking and told my mom that same happens to me and thought it was sleep paralysis again.

Next day I heard my mom talking with neighbours that they experienced the creature too. We came to know that our three neighbours are experiencing it too. One of those called some tantriks, who were supposed to take ghosts with them and then release them far away at some place, immediately the same day. I tried explaining that all these tantriks are useless and there no point on calling them. But, they backfired on me, scolded me and told me not to speak a single word. I remained quite and watched the random things they did, which were supposed to be some magic tricks to catch the ghost. He told that we would not experience those, but it still continued. Later knew that he started experiencing those too and was scared to come to our place😂.

It still continued to happen for weeks before it completely vanished. Now it has gone and we haven't experienced those for long. It didn't affect me much, but my parents are too scared after that incident.

I live in the inner streets and there a bungalow type house in front of the house I stay. The bungalow has a large space around it and don't know whom it belongs to. It has been about 8 years since I have started staying in the rent in the house and the space in front of us ( bungalow ) had been empty before I started living here.

One night I was back from the work too tired. I stepped on my balcony and lit a cigarette. I was chilling in the balcony, then I saw some lights leaking out of the bungalow's window. I threw away the cigarette and focused on the window. I saw a human like shadow standing still in the window. It seemed strange, but still didn't care about it and went to sleep. Same night at about 1 when I got up to p*e, I took a look out of my window to the bungalow & I saw the light turning on and off continously. I was shocked to see this sight and couldn't sleep all the night. Watched many times out of the window and the same process was going on all night long. Next morning I asked the landlord of my house if any one had returned to the bungalow. He replied No. I shared him the incident that I experienced last night, but he laughed at me and told me that I was hallucinating due to tiredness. I thought it could be possible and took all the things out of my mind.

On the same date of next month, I again saw the swing of the balcony swing continously without anyone on the swing. It was 11 am this time and I rushed to call my landlord. He too saw the incident and he was too frightened that he fainted. I never could see towards the bungalow properly since that day. On the 12th day of every month some strange activities happen in the bungalow and this process still continues till the date.
