Book Launch Ceremony 🎂✅

A significant milestone in Nepal's medical education landscape was marked with the inauguration of Basics of Pediatric Surgery: A Textbook for Medical Students and Professionals on 5 June 2026 at GP Acharya Hall, Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH), Maharajgunj. The book, led by Chief Editor Prof. Dr. Rameshwar Prasad Pokharel and co-edited by Dr. Geha Raj Dahal and Dr. Dinesh Prasad Koirala, was formally released in the presence of distinguished medical professionals, academicians, students and invited guests.

The ceremony celebrated not only the publication of a textbook but also decades of dedication to advancing pediatric surgical care and education in Nepal. During the event, speakers reflected on the evolution of pediatric surgery in the country, highlighting the challenges faced in the early years and the remarkable progress achieved through the efforts of pioneering surgeons and educators.
