Nepasa Studios Post-Production Sound Department
Nepasa Studios gladly like to introduce our Post-Production sound department. Audio Post Production usually refers to audio that is synchronized with video. This applies to TV, cinema, and commercials. One major aspect of audio post production is the use of ADR, or automatic dialogue replacement. Sometimes the original, or production audio, lacks in performance or quality so we can make effective use of sound effects (SFX), other elements such as Foley, music, and voiceover are also added during post production. We make sure you to get the best out of your production during the post production and Nepasa oversees the sound post-production process of a film, documentary or television programme creatively and managerially. We work closely with the Director and Sound Designer to co-ordinate the sound editing and mixing processes and make the final decisions on final outcome. Our Sound Supervisor will also be the balance engineer, having control over the programme sound element. Detailed breakdown of our work are:
Sound Editing: Our Sound Editor creates the sound track by cutting and synchronizing to the picture sound elements such as production wild tracks, dialogue tracks, library material and Foley and presents these to the Re-recording mixer for final sound balance. Dialogue Editing: We assess original production sound tracks for the clearest reading of dialogue and correct imperfections. Assesses which dialogue and effects lines must be replaced, arranges the ADR (Automatic Dialogue Replacement) sessions, may direct the artistes if the Director is not available, and fits the resulting sound tracks to ensure perfect sync with the picture
Sound Effects: our SFX Editor assesses the amount of sound synchronization required after shooting. Make best use of the SFX to create illusion, simulate reality and create mood. We also replace the footsteps artistes and fit the resulting sound tracks in sync with the picture; also facilitates the production of Music and Effects track for international versions. Sound Design: we interpret the requirements of a production in terms of sound collection. If possible will work closely with the Production Mixer, Sound Supervisor, the Editor, and the Director to create original sound elements to production requirements, using synthesizers and combinations of sounds
Music editing and Composing: We also work for background sound, music and jingle composition. In case of outside music composer our music editors reports directly to the directors then composer and supervising sound editor because usually is a bit of an outsider. We work closely with the films composer to fix the score onto the film and seduce acquired music in to the films structure.
5.1 surround panning and mixing-Surround Panning and Mixing plug-in for Digidesign Pro Tools. We have a set of powerful 5.1 surround panning and mixing RTAS plug-ins that allow you to take advantage of any Pro Tools system. We are not asking for power on post production, just a little respect for your sound. With your newfound support, we promise to act reasonably at all times and expect that the sound be the most important part of the film. We know there will be times that sound must be looped after it was given due consideration. We just don't want it taken lightly either. The word "reasonable" applies at all times. Most importantly, find the time to communicate with Nepasa Sound department because you need to know if you are getting the best sound tracks possible.
