Biography (Narrative)
Mr. Dendi Sherpa is a visionary leader whose career spans more than three decades of service in humanitarian work, sustainable tourism, and social inclusion. Guided by values of leadership, humanitarianism, sustainable tourism, and inclusion, he has dedicated his life to creating opportunities for both mountain communities and children with disabilities.

From leading expeditions across Nepal’s majestic peaks to championing accessible education and rehabilitation programs, Mr. Sherpa has combined his expertise in tourism with a deep sense of social responsibility. His leadership reflects a lifelong commitment to empowering marginalized groups, fostering cultural exchange, and advancing Nepal’s global recognition as a destination of both adventure and compassion.

Humanitarian-specific planning notes (medical, equipment, permissions)

Medical & evacuation: mandatory travel/medical insurance with helicopter evacuation coverage to at least 6,000 m. Carry field oxygen, portable pulse oximeters, basic meds (acetazolamide, nifedipine as needed), and a trained medic if you’ll run clinics.

Community engagement & legal: If you plan to run medical camps / distribution of prosthetics, check local municipality approvals and MOUs with community health centers — remote permits alone won’t cover organized humanitarian activity. Contact local municipality offices through your Nepali partner NGO or district health office. (NTB covers trekking permits; humanitarian approvals are with local administrative bodies.)
Nepal Tourism Board

Waste & environmental policy: enforce “leave no trace” — bring waste sacks and plan porter/mule transport for disposables back to roadhead.

Local hiring & impact: hire local guides, porters, cooks and source supplies locally where possible to maximize economic benefit for communities. Also plan training transfers (e.g., physiotherapy techniques) rather than one-off giveaways for sustainability.

Edmund Hillary & Tenzing Norgay : de simples hommes devenus légendes.

Avec le cœur d’un lion et le courage d’essayer, ils ont atteint le sommet du monde. 🌍✨

Quelques années plus t**d, après un terrible accident au Népal, Hillary fut grièvement blessé. Sauvé par ses compagnons et les Sherpas, il réalisa :
« J’ai déjà utilisé 8 de mes 9 vies… avant de partir, je dois faire quelque chose pour le peuple du Khumbu. »

Il tint parole : il fit construire la première école pour les enfants et la finança lui-même. 📚❤️

नेपाल सरकारलाई सुझाव : अपाङ्गता र सुधारको एजेण्डा 🌍

नेपालको वर्तमान अवस्थाले हामीलाई धेरै कुरा सिकाइरहेको छ। देश विकासको यात्रामा अघि बढ्दै गरे पनि अझै धेरै चुनौतीहरू छन्, विशेष गरेर शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य र अपाङ्गता भएका व्यक्तिहरूको अधिकार सम्बन्धी क्षेत्रमा।

👉 शिक्षा क्षेत्रमा अझै पनि अपाङ्गता भएका बालबालिकाका लागि समावेशी र पहुँचयोग्य विद्यालय प्रणाली छैन। विद्यालय जान चाहने तर शारीरिक वा मानसिक अपाङ्गताको कारण नियमित पठन–पाठनमा सहभागी हुन नसक्ने हजारौं बालबालिका आज पनि घरमै थुनिनुपरेको छ।

👉 स्वास्थ्य क्षेत्रमा सुविधा अभाव, ग्रामीण क्षेत्रमा पहुँचको कमी, र अपाङ्गता भएका नागरिकका लागि विशेष स्वास्थ्य सेवा नहुनु ठूलो समस्या बनेको छ।

👉 रोजगारी र सामाजिक जीवनमा पनि अपाङ्गता भएका व्यक्तिहरूलाई अझैसम्म समान अवसर प्राप्त भएको छैन।

✍️ त्यसैले, हाम्रो सुझाव स्पष्ट छ —
• प्रत्येक जिल्लामा अपाङ्गता मैत्री विद्यालय स्थापना गरिनुपर्छ।
• ग्रामीण क्षेत्रमा अपाङ्गता भएका नागरिकलाई सहज पहुँच हुने अस्पताल सेवा विस्तार गर्नुपर्छ।
• सरकारले अपाङ्गता भएका व्यक्तिलाई रोजगारीमा प्राथमिकता दिने नीति बनाउनुपर्छ।
• नयाँ योजना, बजेट र नीतिहरूमा अपाङ्गता समावेशी दृष्टिकोण अनिवार्य गर्नुपर्छ।

नेपाल सरकारले यी मुद्दाहरूलाई गम्भीरतापूर्वक कार्यान्वयन गरेमा मात्र समानता र न्यायमा आधारित समाज निर्माण हुनेछ।
