Luke Gosling MP Pays Tribute to Nepal Tragedy in Australian Parliament
Darwin, Australia: Federal Member for Solomon Luke Gosling MP has expressed solidarity with the Nepalese community in the Northern Territory, paying tribute in the Australian Parliament to those affected by the devastating tragedy in Nepal.
Gosling acknowledged the lives lost and people still missing in the disaster, while recognising the efforts of the Nepalese community in the Northern Territory during this incredibly difficult time.
His remarks in Parliament have been warmly welcomed by the Nepalese community, who expressed heartfelt appreciation for his compassion, support and solidarity.
The community said that having Nepal, the victims and those still missing acknowledged on the floor of the Australian Parliament carries deep meaning for Nepalis living in the Northern Territory.
Luke Gosling’s recognition of the tragedy and the Nepalese community’s efforts to support those affected has been described as a meaningful gesture of friendship and solidarity between Australia and Nepal.
