This was by far one of the most beautiful tennis courts I’ve ever seen and as a former D1 college tennis player, I love a good court so this spot was heavennnn!

📍Murren

There’s a TON to do in📍Grindelwald, from the First Flyer, First Glider, Mountain Cart and Trottibike to the Cliff Walk, Bachalpsee hike, paragliding, Glacier Canyon, Pfingstegg and Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe.

Obsessed with these self serve little cheese shops

📍 Gimmelwald (do a half day here while you’re in Murren; it’s a very cute small village with lots of classic Swiss Alps character)

You can be afraid and still go! Comment “SAFETY” for 8 FREE weeks of electronic theft protection

Fun yet not-so-fun fact: some of the top cities for electronic theft are Paris, Barcelona and Rome.

I’ve only had someone try to steal my phone once while I was eating at a restaurant, but I’ve definitely heard some unfortunate stories…

With SafetyWing you can:

-Get coverage in 180+ countries
-Pay as you go + cancel anytime
-Add electronic theft coverage, adventure sports & US coverage

Have fun out there, be silly + fearless but not so silly that you end up getting your stuff stolen

Fun fact, I’m Belgian! Kinda haha. I’m born and raised in the US but my mom’s mom’s side has some Belgian roots.

So thanks Belgium for welcoming me and for a lovely 3 days in your beautiful country!

I just posted a carousel with recommendations and the route we did. You can also comment ‘MAP’ and I’ll send you my Google maps link!

Enjoy!

3 days in Belgium photo dump 🧚🏼 route + more:

We took a Interrail from London —> Brussels on the morning of day 1.

After arriving at our accommodation Numa | numastays.com we went to grab lunch and walk around the main squares and touristy spots.

For food and coffee recs, see below for my favorites or comment ‘MAP’ and you’ll get 50+ recs.

Day 2, we spent walking around the less touristy parts of town, Marolles and Ixelles neighborhoods. You’ll find these walkable areas on the Google Map more noticeably. Our top dinner spot recs is below!

Day 3, go to Bruges via Interrail and return in the late afternoon. Wander the town without too much of a plan. We found that to work great as the town is quite small. Pop in one of the many chocolate shops. My favorite lunch spot is below!

Cool coffee spots:
☕️ Bleu
☕️ Belga & Co • Simple Pleasures
☕️ Wide Awake Coffee

Brussels food favorite: Café des Minimes
Bruges food favorite: De Koeste (I did a separate reel on this place)

Day 4: check out :)

Next is Luxembourg!

We found the coziest place in town for lunch ✨

Definitely order the garlic mussels

📍De koetse, Brugge, Belgium

Comment ‘Belgium’ and I’ll send you my Google Maps of all of my favorite Brugge and Brussels spots.

Belgian chocolate sent me down a rabbit hole I was NOT expecting. Hopefully you have now learned where most of the worlds chocolate comes from.

I think it’s easy to focus on the pretty chocolate shops and forget about the people and places behind what we’re consuming.

If something feels off in a country you’re in, look it up :)

P.s. I enjoyed my time in Belgium regardless of this! For my Brussels recs + more, check out my story highlight! I’ve included a free google maps link.

Rejection is redirection!

I am who I am today because I didn’t go to the school I wanted to go to, didn’t get the job I wanted, didn’t get the collaboration I wanted, my old friends didn’t agree with my values, my old coworkers made me feel like a black sheep…

Looking back, im so happy for the rejections and mistakes because I feel closer to my most authentic self more than ever. It’s been years in the making but damn I’m so glad I took some risks and followed my own path :)

If you’re new here, hey im alexa! I quit my corporate job over 7 years ago and have been traveling since! I share how to travel affordably and as a digital nomad, make money while traveling, destination guides, real stories as a solo female traveler, how to live a non traditional life and sooo much more.
