आईएमई समुहको सहायक कम्पनी हाइड्रो सपोर्ट प्रालीमार्फत कालिगण्डकी नदीको म्याग्दीको अन्नपूर्ण गाउँपालिका क्षेत्रमा निर्माण गर्न लागिएको ६६.३ मेगावाटको मध्य कालीगण्डकी जलविद्युत आयोजना निर्माणको लागि ६ वटा बैंकहरुले लगानी गर्ने भएका छन् ।

100% Right Shares of Himalaya Urja Bikas Company Approved By SEBON

The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has approved the rights offering proposal of Himalaya Urja Bikas Company Limited (HURJA) on Ashadh 7, 2081.

The company will be issuing 100% right shares worth Rs. 99 crore through the issue of 9,900,000 (1: 1) units of right shares to its existing shareholders.

The current paid-up capital of Rs. 99 Crore. After the adjustment of the proposed right share i.e. 99 lakh units, the paid-up capital of the company will increase to Rs. 1.98 Arba.

Food business operators involved in misconducts could face on-spot cash penalty of up to Rs 500,000

Operators of food businesses if found selling unhygienic foods to their customers will have to face a cash penalty of up to Rs 500,000 on the spot or a jail term of up to five years or both.

The government has maintained the provision in the newly endorsed Food Hygiene and Quality Act 2024. According to the Department of Food Technology and Quality Control (DFTQC), the related bill received certification on May 5 while it will come into effect from August 3.

Nepal's sovereign debt exceeds Rs 2400 billion

Nepal's sovereign debt has exceeded Rs 2400 billion as of mid-June 2024. According to the Public Debt Management Office, Nepal is obliged to pay its public debt amounting to Rs 2400 billion including Rs 1192.48 billion towards the internal debt and Rs 1207.86 billion towards the external debt as of mid-June, 2024.

Nepal's debt was Rs 2299.35 billion until mid-July last year when the current fiscal year 2023/24 began. The public debt amounting to Rs 101 billion was added to the country's debt portfolio in the last 11 months of the current fiscal year, it was shared.
