The World Record Holder- Summited Mt. Everest Three Times

We are joined by two inspiring figures from the world of mountaineering: Dawa Finjhok Sherpa, a world record holder who summited Mt. Everest three times in just eight days, and Rajan Shrestha, Managing Director of Hamasteel and a passionate mountain enthusiast.

Together, they take us deep into the heart of the Himalayas—not just as a physical challenge, but as a spiritual journey. What begins as a discussion on adventure quickly turns into a profound reflection on faith, teamwork, and survival in one of the world’s harshest environments. “For us, the mountains are not just rock and snow—they are deity,” Dawa explains. “You can have all the training, equipment, and support, but if the mountain doesn’t allow it, you won’t make it. The mountain chooses who gets to reach the summit.

Beyond the physical demands, the Himalayas demand spiritual surrender and psychological resilience. The weather can shift from clear skies to deadly storms in minutes. Dawa recounts chilling moments: “There have been cases where someone just stepped away to relieve themselves and never came back. People standing just two meters apart—one lived, the other died. That’s how unpredictable the mountains are.”

Rajan Krishna Shrestha, Managing Director of Hamasteel offers a corporate lens on why mountaineering, trek is more than sport—it’s a test of human spirit, character, and collaboration:

“When employees trek together, they learn things no office can teach—teamwork, perseverance, and humility. The pressure also reveals the true nature of the team.

This episode goes beyond records and summits. It’s about respecting the mountain, valuing human life, and recognizing the real heroes who make it all possible. If you want to know the ins and outs of mountaineering, especially Mt. Everest, this video is a must-watch.
