Nuwakott Ghar celebrated 46th World Tourism Day at its premises on September 27, 2025. It was the 7th edition of celebration of World Tourism Day organised by Nuwakott Ghar and Radio Tourism. On the occasion, Tenzing Hillar Everest Marathon and Nuwakott Ghar felicitated Former Tourism Secretary Mr. Maheshwor Neupane for his contribution to the tourism industry of Nepal with the cash award of Rs. 3,07,777 and Felicitation Plaque, and Gorkhali Glory Award was given to Mr. Mapan Pariyar ( Kalimpong, India), the lyricist and composer of 'Man ta Mero Nepali Ho' song with cash award Rs. 29,031.69 (Height of Mt. Everest) for his contribution in uniting Gorkhali community of the World through his song. Khema Guruma handed over Felicitation Plaque on behalf of Dr. Bhikkuni Dhammawati Guruma of Dharma Kriti Vihar. The Felicitation Plaque to Mr. Mapan Pariyar was given by Bhikkshu Nigrod, former Vice Chairman of Lumbini Development Trust and Dr. Govindaraj Bhattarai, renowned literary figure. Mr. Gautam Man Singh explained about the new project on Nuwakott. Mr. Bikram PandeKaaji, the conceptman and founder of Nuwakott Ghar, Radio Tourism, Gorkhali Glory and Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon spoke about the concept behind organsing this event and briefly explained about felicitating the distinguished personalities. Khema Guruma read out the best wishes message sent by Dr. Bhikkuni Dhammawati Guruma whereas moderator of the event and co-founder of Radio Tourism read out the best wishes message sent by Dil Kumari Bhandari, Former Member of Parliament India and Patron of Gorkhali Glory. Bhikkshu Nigrod, Maheshwor Neupane and Mapan Pariyar also spoke on the occasion.
The program was attended by distinguished personalities including Kedar Bahadur Adhikari, Former Tourism Secretary, Mr. Nani Kazi Bista, Former DG, Mr. Rabiraj Thapa, Former AIG, AFP, Mr. Ang Tshering Sherpa, Hon. Consul, Belgium, Mr. Ang Temba Sherpa, Mountaineer and Rolex model, Speed Kazi Sherpa, K.K Pandey.
