I realized that filming destruction is very different from seeing it in real life.

A drone can show you the scale.
A photograph can show you the damage.
But neither can show you what it feels like to stand where someone’s home used to be.

I decided to travel into the affected areas myself. Not simply to film the destruction…but to understand what was actually happening on the ground.

This is a short clip of, what I saw there 😞

This flood did not simply wash away water, soil and debris. It changed lives.

“Homes were swept away.”
“Roads disappeared.”
“Bridges were destroyed.”
“Hydropower infrastructure was severely damaged.”
“Markets and settlements along the river were devastated.”

From the China–Nepal border through Rasuwa and toward areas of Nuwakot, Dhading and Gorkha, the impact has been enormous.
