हजार सपना...अनि मेरो गितार !

हरसाँझ घिन्ताङ्, घिन्ताङ् मादल घन्किने गुरुङ गाउँमा मेरो बाल्यकाल बित्यो । दसैं, तिहार, रोधी, लाहेर झार्ने, अर्घुम, माघे सङ्क्रान्तिका रातै छिचोल्थ्यो मादलले । त्यसैले होला मादलको ताल मेरो डिएनएसँगै जोडिए झै लाग्छ । र मलाई मादल बजाउन मनपर्छ पनि । सन् १९९६ मा म गाउँबाट सहर पसेँ । कलेज पढ्न पृथ्वीनारायण क्याम्पस झरेँ । 'जोमसोमै बजारमा' गीतले सहर तताइसकेको थियो । नेपथ्य ब्यान्डको यस गीतभित्र एउटा बाजा बज्थ्यो त्यो बाजा मादलजस्तो थिएन । सारङ्गीजस्तो पनि थिएन । सरस्वतीले बोक्ने विणा जस्तै लाग्थ्यो । खासमा त्यो गितार थियो ।
गीतार गुरुङ गाउँमा कहिल्यै बजेन । यो हाम्रो रैथाने लोकबाजा थिएन । यो सजिलै किन्न सकिने बाजा पनि थिएन । लोकसङ्गीत सुनेर हुर्केको मेरो मनमा नेपथ्यका गीतहरू लोकगीत जस्तै हुन्थे तर भित्र त्यै अनौठा बाजा गितारको मेलोडी सुनिन्थ्यो । कहिल्यै नदेखेको बाजा भए पनि मलाई गीतरको कुरुङ् कुरुङ् ...धुन औधी मन पर्थ्यो । तर गीतार सीमित मान्छेले मात्र बोक्थे । म त्यस्तै बुझ्थेँ गितार धनीका विलाशिताको साधन हो । मलाई गीतार सुन्न मन लाग्थ्यो । नजिकबाट छुन मन लाग्थ्यो । किन्न मन लाग्थ्यो तर चाहनाको बोजले थिचिएको रित्तो खल्तीबाहेक मसँग केही थिएन । गीतार किन्न सपना त थियो तर त्यो पूरा नहुने कित्तामा पर्थ्यो ।
म बिस्तारै कलेजका उपल्ला सिढीँमा निस्कँदै गएँ । नेपथ्यका थप गीतहरू निस्कँदै गए । गितार र लोकबाजाको कक्टेल धुन झन् लोकप्रिय हुँदै गयो । नेपथ्यकै 'उडायो रेलैले' गीतमा झन् राम्रो गितार बजेको धुन सुन्दै मैले स्नातक पास गरेँ । त्यति बेलासम्म पनि ममा गितार किन्ने स्वप्निल रहर त थियो तर खल्ती झन् उजाड थियो सहर झर्दा ताकाको भन्दा पनि बढी ।
जब म गीतार किन्ने हैसियतको भएँ ती भर्जिन रहरहरू कतै छुटे । ती सुन्दर चाहना कतै सेलाए । खल्तीमा दाम भए पनि मलाई गितार किन्न मन लागेन । मैले किन नसकेका सबै कुरा छोरीलाई किनिदन्छु भन्ने सोच्दै थिएँ अचानक अचेतनमा एउटा भाव जुर्मुरायो कहिल्यै नफुलेका वनस्पति पनि हरियै छैनन् र ? अधुरा सपनाभित्र पनि सुन्दरता टलक देख्न सकिँदैन र ? फलतः मैले ढिलै भए पनि गीतार किन्ने निधो गरेँ । किनेँ । अचेल गुनगाउछु सम्झिएर ती मुर्झाएका चाहनालाई । गाउँछु सेतीका डिलबाट पल्टिएका हजारौँ आकाङ्क्षाका सारेगम । हरसाँझ म गितारलाई अङ्कमाल गर्दै र चुम्दै भनिरहन्छु "हजार सपनाहरूको माया लागेर आउँछ...।

Library and Information Science Scholarship for Higher Education in Russia

Nepal Library Association in collaboration with Russian Embassy Nepal and Russian Center of Science and Culture (RCSC) announces an opportunity of scholarships in Library and Information Science for Higher Education in the Russian Federation.

The Scholarship is provided by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation for the academic year 2013/14. The Scholarship will be granted for training Nepali citizens in the federal government educational institutions of higher education through allocations from the federal budget on training bachelors, masters, postgraduate (graduate school, internship, residency, doctoral), and additional professional education (training, skills development).

The Scholarship covers tuition fee and accommodation only.

Interested candidates are requested to apply by May 10, 2013.

With the initiation of IP Adhikari sir, LIS Nepal organized a Sharing Program on the book, 'You Don't Look Like a Librarian' written by Ruth Kneale. In the program Mr. Adhikari shared the insights he perceived after reading the book. Library professionals and teachers and students of CDLIS participated the sharing program. The program was organized on 01 Feb 2013 (18 Falgun 2069) in Seminar Hall of TU Central Library Kirtipur.
