यिनै हुन्, मानबहादुर मोची जसले सिलाएका थिए जर्ज मेलोरीका जुत्ता....
सन् १९२२ र १९२४ को सगरमाथा आरोहण अभियानमा जुत्ता सिलाउनका लागि लगिएका थिए मानबहादुर । दुःखको कुरा आरोहीका जुत्ता सिलाउन लगिएका मानबहादुरको भने आफ्नै दुवै खुट्टा कुर्कुचा मुनि हिउँले नराम्रोसँग खायो । अनि निमोनिया भएर सन् १९२४ मा सगरमाथामै निधन भयो ।
मानबहादुर नेपाली थिए भन्ने दुईमत छैन । तर उनी नेपालको कहाँका थिए ? भन्ने बारेमा अझै कतै खुल्न सकेको छैन । तर यत्ति चाहीँ धेरै पुस्तकहरूमा उल्लेख छ कि उनी सन् १९२२ मा पनि जर्ज मेलोरीसँगै जुत्ता सिउनका लागि लगिएका थिए । त्यसैले उनले जर्ज मेलोरीसहित सो आरोहण दलका धेरैको फाटेको जुत्ता सिएका थिए ।
दुर्भाग्य मानबहादुर बितेको करिब एक महिनापछि मेलोरी पनि सगरमाथा शिखर आसपासबाट बेपत्ता भएका थिए ।

Manbahardur was taken along on the 1922 and 1924 Everest expeditions specifically to stitch and repair the boots of the climbers. Tragically, while he was brought to mend the boots of the mountaineers, Manbahardur himself suffered severe frostbite on both feet below the heels. He then contracted pneumonia and passed away on Everest itself in 1924.
There is no doubt that Manbahardur was Nepali. However, exactly which part of Nepal he came from has not been able to be established anywhere to this day. What is mentioned in many books, though, is that he had also accompanied George Mallory in 1922 for the purpose of stitching boots. He had therefore stitched the torn boots of Mallory and many other members of the expedition team.
By cruel fate, approximately one month after Manbahardur's passing, Mallory too disappeared somewhere near the summit of Everest.
