An incredible story of survival - after being last seen alone at 7,600M, high altitude worker Hillary Dawa is found alive at the foot of the mountain, and is now safely on the way to receive treatment in Kathmandu. I spoke with the last person to see Hillary Dawa alive today. Update on the Sherpa climber who passed away above Camp III with new information on rescue efforts starting tomorrow. Confirmation that one climbing Sherpa was lost around Camp III on May 28th. No confirmation on rescue efforts, made more difficult by the dismantling of the icefall route on May 29. Such a bitter end to the season. Our love and prayers are with Hillary Dawa and his family.

Dispatch for June 1st - the season is officially over! The last stranded climbers at Camp 2 are down, we had a great time at the .us and Nepal budgets putting an astrological observatory at Everest Base Camp!
