Rukum East is a beautiful district and the only mountainous district in Lumbini Province. And Rukum East is full of nature. When we say Rukum East, we immediately think of heaven. We have 12 months of beauty, greenery during the rainy season and drought during the winter and it is very cold during the winter. Rukum East is dominated by Magars. Kshetri Brahmins also migrate to some extent. There are only three municipalities in this district. There are 31 local wards in total. Rukum East has its own original language and culture. And the Magars speak the Magarkham language
