SUCCESSFUL FORMATION OF 08-SALGHARI ZOOM (SDF) CLC COMMITTEE

Venue: South–West Zonal Party Office, Jorethang, South Sikkim

A significant organizational meeting was successfully held today at the South–West Zonal Party Office, Jorethang, under the chairmanship and gracious presence of SDF Party Senior Vice President Shri P.S. Limboo (ADM) and Soreng District President Shri Mahendra Nalboo.

During the meeting, the 08 Salghari-Zoom Constituency Level Committee (CLC) was formally constituted. The meeting focused on strengthening the party organization at the grassroots level, understanding and addressing the concerns of the people, earning public trust, and working collectively toward building a brighter and more prosperous future for Sikkim.

Speakers emphasized the importance of service, dedication, accountability, and maintaining strong connections with the people. The gathering also stressed the need for every member of the organization to play an active role in advancing the agenda of development, prosperity, and public welfare across Sikkim.

SAGA DAWA GREETINGS

On the auspicious occasion of Saga Dawa, I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of Sikkim.

Saga Dawa is the most sacred period in the Buddhist calendar, commemorating the three most significant milestones in the life of Lord Buddha—his birth, enlightenment, and Parinirvana. It falls on the fifteenth day of the fourth month of the Tibetan calendar. This holy occasion serves as a reminder of the timeless values of compassion, wisdom, peace, and selfless service that Lord Buddha imparted to humanity.

On this sacred occasion, I pray for the good health, happiness, and prosperity of the people of Sikkim. May the teachings of Lord Buddha continue to guide us towards a more just, peaceful, and compassionate society. May our state be blessed with unity, peace, and progress on this auspicious Saga Dawa.

Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) Forms New Soreng Constituency Level Executive Committee

Soreng, Sikkim | 30 May 2026

The Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) successfully conducted an important organizational coordination meeting in the Soreng Constituency today, during which the new Constituency Level Executive Committee (CLEC) was officially elected.

The meeting was held in the distinguished presence of senior party leaders, including Central Executive Committee Senior Vice President Shri S.R. S***a and Senior Vice President Shri M.N. Dahal. The program was also attended by Soreng District President Shri Mahindra Nalbo and Soreng District Youth President Shri Ezak Muringla, along with a large gathering of dedicated SDF party workers and leaders of various frontal organizations.

The newly elected Constituency Level Executive Committee (CLEC) for Soreng Constituency comprises the following office bearers:

जर्नलिष्ट एसोसिएसन अफ कालिम्पोङका अध्यक्ष मनोज बोगटीद्वारा राजीनामा, लिए पत्रकारिताबाट सन्यास, सक्रिय राजनीतिमा प्रवेश गर्ने घोषणा

मनोज बोगटीले जर्नलिष्ट एसोसिएसन अफ कालिम्पोङको अध्यक्ष पदबाट राजीनामा दिएका छन्। हालै मात्र अध्यक्षमा चयन भएका बोगटीले आफू अब जाति, मुद्दा र माटोको पक्षमा सक्रिय राजनीतिमा पूर्णकालीन रूपमा लाग्ने निर्णय गरेपछि नैतिकताको आधारमा पद त्याग गरेको बताएका छन्।
उनले पत्रकारिताबाट पनि औपचारिक रूपमा सन्यास लिएको घोषणा गरेका छन्। उनले आफ्नो जीवनको लामो समय पत्रकारिता, साहित्य र जनआवाजको पक्षमा समर्पित गरेको उल्लेख गर्दै अब त्यही संघर्षलाई राजनीतिक मोर्चाबाट अघि बढाउने बताएका छन्।
बोगटीले आफ्नो वक्तव्यमा सत्ता र व्यवस्थाविरुद्ध आवाज उठाउँदा आफूले कुटपिट, धम्की र २१ वटा मुद्दासम्म खेप्नुपरेको उल्लेख गरेका छन्। तर ती सबै दबाबका बाबजुद आफू लोकतन्त्र, पत्रकारिता र जनअधिकारको पक्षमा डटेर उभिएको बताएका छन्।
उनले गोर्खा समुदायको पहिचान, भाषा, भूगोल र राजनीतिक अधिकारमाथि भइरहेको क्रमिक षड्यन्त्रलाई नजिकबाट अनुभव गरेपछि अब केवल पत्रकारिताले मात्र नपुग्ने निष्कर्षमा पुगेको उल्लेख गरेका छन्। उनका अनुसार अब पारम्परिक, सम्झौतावादी र लम्पसारवादी राजनीति भत्काएर गरीबभन्दा गरीब र कमजोरभन्दा कमजोर जनताले पनि आफ्नो अधिकार बोल्न सक्ने राजनीतिक संस्कृति निर्माण गर्ने लक्ष्यका साथ आफू राजनीतिमा होमिएका हुन्।
प्रेस वक्तव्यमा उनले नयाँ पुस्ताको वैकल्पिक राजनीतिक शक्ति निर्माण गर्ने संकेत पनि दिएका छन्। गोर्खाल्याण्ड आन्दोलनको नाममा विगतमा भएका सम्झौता, विश्वासघात र मुद्दाको कमजोर प्रस्तुतिले जनतामा अविश्वास पैदा गरेको स्वीकार गर्दै अब नयाँ वैचारिक र संघर्षशील राजनीतिक संस्कृतिको आवश्यकता रहेको बताएका छन्।
उनले पुराना राजनीतिक दलहरू क्रमशः मुद्दाबाट विचलित हुँदै गएको आरोप लगाउँदै अब भूमि, भाषा, जातीय पहिचान र क्षेत्रीय अधिकारको रक्षाका लागि नयाँ युवा बौद्धिक नेतृत्व अगाडि आउनुपर्ने समय आएको बताएका छन्।
साथै उनले आफ्नो भविष्यको राजनीतिक यात्रामा पनि आलोचना र प्रश्नलाई स्वागत गर्ने बताएका छन्। हिजो मैले अरूलाई प्रश्न गरेको थिएँ, भोलि जनताले मलाई पनि त्यसरी नै प्रश्न गर्नुपर्छ, भन्दै उनले आलोचनाबाट भाग्ने होइन, आलोचनामार्फत आफूलाई सुधार्ने राजनीतिक संस्कृतिको आवश्यकता औंल्याएका छन्।
