INSPIRATIONAL LIFE OF CHUNGRENG KOREN : The Indian RHINO
Chungareng Koren was born on February 1, 1998, in Kamu Koireng village, Kangpokpi district, Manipur state, India.
His father had passed away before his birth. After that, his mother had to raise her four children alone.
The family's financial situation was very poor during his childhood. From a young age, Koren used to help his mother with household chores such as selling vegetables and doing farm work. At that time, there were no dreams—just a struggle to survive.

🥋 The beginning of his sports journey
When Koren was around 12–13 years old, a local man introduced him to a wrestling coach.
He then started training at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) in Imphal.
However, in 2012, due to family financial difficulties, he had to stop playing.
In 2016, Koren resumed training by doing construction work.

🥊 MMA Journey
Koren decided to pursue a career in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts).
📌 Achievements:
• MFN 14 (March 2024):
→ Koren won the Interim Bantamweight Champion title.
• MFN 15 (August 2024):
→ Defeated Indian fighter Kantharaj Agasa to become the Undisputed Bantamweight Champion.
His style of play is aggressive and confident, which is why he is called “The Indian Rhino”.
