2 LP Set - O.G. 1996 - U.S.A. Press - So awesome to have this bonafide - almost 30-year-old classic - on offer - TCQ's 4th album - Released on July 30th 1996 - The album pays a visit to a more deeper, & perhaps a more serious mood - The album still sounds fresh - even decades on - An excellent title for those wanting a deeper TCQ dig - & definitely a 'well-needed' TCQ classic - for those wanting to complete their TCQ collections - as this one is seen 'less & less' these days.

🎹🎙Prince - Self-Titled
2016 Europe Reissue
In October of 1979 - this second album was droppin' for Prince - Back then - Prince was still a newish artist on the scene. Prince knocks it outta the park on this album - Especially with 'I wanna be your lover' - which smashed onto the Billboard charts - & the rest is history! This vinyl is a 'sweet' playing - as new copy.

🎙James Brown - Live at the Apollo Volume 1 -
1983 - O.G UK Press - This performance was recorded in 1962 - & it's considered in music history circles - to be one of the greatest Live albums ever recorded - That said - James, & the band - are total 🔥! This title is not seen that often these days -& a totally worthwhile title - for those who love a good blast of James - here it is! - & this one will get you in a front row seat!

Mandrill - 'Is'
1972 - O.G - Aussie Press - The group - out of Brooklyn, New York - & formed by the 3 Wilson brothers - around 1968 - & over the decades - the Mandrill group - delighted us - with their unique blend of Latin American Funk, Soul, & Jazz - The group always 'came correct' - with outstanding playing - & delivered a groove that was deep, complex, electric, & always memorable - & a group who influenced so many musicians of our time.

1962 - OG NZ Riverside Press
One of Evan's 'career-defining' - trio albums from the early 60's. Working out his simultaneous 'improvisation framework' - in fine style! a little introspective in places - but creates an appropriate 'moody feel'.

🪉Dorothy Ashby - 'The Fabulous Jazz Harp Of Dorothy Ashby'
1964 - OG UK Atlantic Stereo Edition
Ashby was quite possibly the originator of the 'spiritual jazz' genre; her flights of harp magic were underappreciated - until Alice Coltrane took up the (Harp) cause in the late 60's - retrospectively elevating Ashby's album discography to legendary status.
This album is a tremendous representation of her work.

Jaco Pastorious - 1976 - OG NZ edition
Formidable bass player's first album as a leader - Jaco lays down his manifesto in fine style across:. Jazz-fusion, Funk, Soul & Rock - plus many other 'fine points' in between. Jaco - was a legend - this album is one of the very reasons why.

🎹Judy Bailey - 'You, and the Night, and the Music'
1962 - OG NZ edition
Something of a rarity these days - an early album by NZ jazz piano legend Judy Bailey.
This could quite possibly be her finest achievement - recorded in Australia - at the beginning of a long, & distinguished career, as a musician, composer, & an educator etc. The album now - quite valuable out in the marketplace these days, it's fair to say.
And no!!!, not THAT Judy Bailey - lol
