🗞️NEWS! KÜĪ / Mother will be screening at the 36th Cinemagic International Film and Television Festival for Young People in Belfast, Ireland!

📌Our film is competing for the ’Best Short Film for a Youth Audience 15+’ Jury Award and will be screening before the feature film Nawi on Sunday, October 5th at 10:00am (BST) at the Queen’s Film Theatre in Belfast.

We’re excited to announce that ‘KÜĪ’ / Mother will be screening at the prestigious 45th Hawai’i International Film Festival this October!

📌Featured in the “Pacific Islander Showcase Shorts” program, with screenings on Oct 17th & Oct 24th @ Consolidated Theatres Kahala. We’re truly grateful for this opportunity to share our film with the incredible community in Oahu who have embraced and supported the very beginning of KÜĪ’s journey.

💞Special first look at ‘O Alofa Nei, O Alofa Nā (Love Me, Love You). World premiering at the 20th edition of showmeshorts film festival (Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa) in the Day One Shorts Premiere Program.

Manaia, a young woman caught between expectation and self-acceptance, finds herself confronting her repressed sexuality when a chance reunion with her first love stirs old feelings.

Wow, shookth! A huge thank you to the jury and the Rhode Island community for the honour of receiving this award. Thank you for providing a platform where people can experience our film in this corner of the world. Big love to everyone who was part of our journey from the beginning and throughout!

To our cast and crew: Every single person we approached for this film said ‘yes’ without hesitation. So grateful for each and every one of you! To our actors and especially our brave lead, Genevive, who had never acted before - we’ve created something truly special & so real for a lot of people watching worldwide, thank you for the trust. We’re excited to announce that ”KÜĪ” / Mother will be screening at the 43rd Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival from August 5th-10th! Their biggest festival selection yet! Our film is competing for a couple jury awards and will be featured on the big screen as part of the official competition during the festival week!

“KÜĪ” is heading to Salerno, Italy 🇮🇹 for its European premiere at the 55th edition of the Giffoni Film Festival 2025! The world’s largest children’s film festival. We are so honoured to be selected for the PARENTAL EXPERIENCE section & in competition for the Gryphon Award for best short film, which is judged by a young jury - slay! 🫡

For those who haven’t watched it yet, you know where you can find it ✈️…Thanks to this Partnership, our director Kahu Kaiha could fly to Los Angeles for the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival to represent our second short film KÜĪ.

We’re thrilled to announce that “KÜĪ” has been officially selected for the prestigious Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival! Join the event for a special screening at the Directors Guild of America Theatre 🎭 on May 2nd, where we’ll be featured in the Pacific Cinewaves: Sites of Memory in Oceania Program.

Fun fact: Both Christopher Nolan’s acclaimed films “Interstellar” and “Dunkirk” had their prestigious premieres at the DGA Theatre! 🤯
