We went to the pre-screening of "Prime Minister", a riveting documentary about Jacinda Ardern's time as NZ's leader.

It's well worth your time to go and watch this film.
Even if you don't agree with her politics, this glimpse of her time as Prime Minister, should make you see that there can be humanity in politics, that there can be kindness in politics and that it is vitally important to call out misogyny.

It was an honour to attend the premiere of John Lacey's documentary "Feel it From My Words" as part of Doc Edge.

We are proud to have played a small part in getting this harrowing, but inspiring story of Mushtaq's path to NZ to the big screen.

Last week saw the launch of "The Vic: A Love Story."- A short film that charts the fascinating history of the Victoria Theatre in Devonport Auckland.

As the oldest purpose-built cinema in the Southern Hemisphere the Vic has a great story to tell.

From its beginnings in 1912 when it was a ‘picture palace’ showing silent films, to the advent of the ‘talkie’ movies and then the digital age, the Vic encompasses the history of cinema in New Zealand cinema.

The Sugarworks Post is proud to have played a part in getting this story to the big screen.
