A special thanks…

Wow, what a year! Definitely the most transformative one of my life 🌀

No amount of money, self-work, experiences, achievements, knowledge, or advice could have prepared me for motherhood. It truly is something you have to be in to really understand and grow expediently.

I am extremely lucky and thankful to have a good partner who is also a loving father to our daughter… as well as amazing friends, family, strong women, and other mamas in my life who have been walking alongside me.

I am also blessed to have incredible clients who have been flexible with my schedule and capacity, and haven’t hated me for sending constant reminders about getting their episodes in on time for me to edit when I have childcare 🤪 You have kept my business going this year, and for that I am eternally grateful 💕

Lastly, to those who have messaged me because they’ve listened to the Driftscape podcast, or got in touch because you have visions of starting your own podcast… it has been a pleasure connecting with you too.

I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season 🎄 and send love to all who I’ve crossed paths with this year.

Take care, and see you in 2026!

😘✨🥂

Early motherhood cracked me open in ways I didn’t expect.

My nervous system felt raw, my world felt smaller, and words often felt like too much.

So I returned to sound.

To the thing that has always helped me regulate, soften, and feel safe in my body.

Driftscape began as something I made for myself. A way to breathe through the days and nights, to create calm without needing to be “okay” first.

Somewhere along the way, it became a healing series I’m incredibly proud of.

This feels like a quiet end-of-year moment of reflection. Not about what I achieved, but about how I cared for myself while everything was changing.

If you’re navigating early motherhood, big life shifts, or your nervous system feels dysregulated… Driftscape is there for you.

A podcast of immersive sound journeys designed to regulate your nervous system and reduce anxiety.

Listen wherever you get your podcasts, whenever you need somewhere to land.

And thank you to all those who have listened so far and been on the journey with me. Your kind words and hearing how much the podcast has helped you too, really means so much to me 🤍

Every year around this time, I suddenly get an influx of podcast consultations, and for good reason…

Small business owners and creators are planning ahead, setting goals for the new year, and deciding this is the year they finally start (or refine) their podcast.

If that’s you, now is the perfect time to reach out.

I’ll be taking a break over the NZ summer from Friday 19th December, returning Monday 19th January.

I’m currently at capacity until then. But I’m expecting 1–2 client spaces to open in early 2026, with the potential for more if I bring a contractor back on board.

Whether you want to build a podcast from the ground up, or you’re ready to outsource editing and production so you can focus on your content, I’d love to help you make it happen.

You can explore my services at franklypodcasting.co.nz or send me a message to book a consultation before the holiday rush hits.

Podcasts aren’t just for your ears anymore.

Video podcasts are on the rise, and Netflix + Spotify just joined forces to make it even bigger.

Here’s what’s changing in the podcast world, and why it matters for creators 👆

I don’t normally follow trends (mainly because I’m out of touch and not trendy anymore 😅), but this one really caught my eye.

Chat GPT said some things that I have never stopped to appreciate about my strengths, my qualities as a human being, as a creative, and as a working mama.

I would have never answered the question the way Chat GPT did, for fear of sounding like I have a massive ego — but honestly, the responses are pretty damn spot on!

I do truly care about everyone I work with, and carefully craft their episodes like an architect.

I did create Driftscape from a tender place in my life, as both a sanctuary for myself and an offering for others.

I do intuitively understand emotions just as well as I understand audio and how to shape it.

I have had to redefine what success looks like in this season of my life and am still navigating a huge identity shift as a mother.

I desperately want to make a difference in the world of podcasting where there is soooo much noise and not enough mindfulness! (Especially when it comes to misinformation, but that’s a story for another day).

And I absolutely am someone who creates to connect, not to perform.

So thank you Chat GPT for the kind words and inviting me to reflect on all the wonderful qualities that make me who I am. It’s so easy to forget, especially when you’re a sleep deprived mama who is in her anxious era 🤪

I have to admit something, I am sitting on a podcast and not hitting publish 😱

I’ve been creating it for the last couple of months, but I keep trying to get it to a point where I have enough content to carry me through incase I get too busy to make new episodes ( ).

On one hand, that’s very smart, and I always tell clients to batch record for this purpose — but on the other hand, it’s stopping me from progressing.

I have always been challenged by my perfectionist tendencies, and whether this is me being a perfectionist or just me trying to be overly prepared, I’m not sure.

What I do know though is that I have done enough to hit publish. I have got to the 70% mark.

The 70% Rule is something I recently came across. It encourages action over waiting for perfection by suggesting you move forward when a project or task is about 70% complete, trusting that improvement can come later.

Funny thing is, I totally agree! Even though I get trapped striving for 100% more often than I’d like to admit.

So here I am publicly telling myself to HIT PUBLISH on the podcast! If you’d like to support me on this journey, go follow 🌊

This is also your gentle reminder that perfect is not productive (says the recovering perfectionist). If you have a podcast, project or idea that is at the 70% mark, I urge you to put it out there.

Create momentum, get feedback, learn, grow, and adjust as you go 🫶🏼

Currently in my creative cocoon and not been on here much, but as I approach the 5 year mark in business, I really wanted to share how podcasting changed everything for me.

It really is true that you can be just one decision away from an entirely different life.

You know that feeling when you hear just a few notes and instantly know what show or brand it is?

That’s the power of audio branding, and it starts with your podcast jingle 🎶

A great jingle doesn’t need lyrics. Sometimes just a few signature sounds can do all the heavy lifting, creating instant recognition and setting the mood before you say a word.

But what’s the difference between a custom made jingle and a generic track?

One tells your story. The other tells… everyone’s.

If you want your podcast to sound as good as it looks, I can help. I create one-of-a-kind jingles designed to reflect your style, tone, and message.

Want to hear how it could work for your show?

Comment “jingle” or DM me — I’ll send you more info and offer a free consultation if you’d like to chat.

Your podcast intro, outro + trailer might be short… but they’re essential.

They set the tone for your show, make it sound polished and professional, and help new listeners know exactly what you’re all about.

If you’re a new client of mine, these are the first things we create together to get your podcast ready for launch 🚀

Save this for later if you’re planning to start a podcast!

~

P.s. I used Canvas ‘Magic Media’ AI tool to create the background image for these slides. It was so much easier than scrolling for ages trying to find an image I like. Don’t know about you but I am a bit of a perfectionist and can waste so much time doing that 😅

Here’s how I protect my capacity and the quality of your podcast…

As a podcast editor and new mum, my days don’t always go to plan. Our sleep changes. My baby’s needs change. And let’s be real, my best changes too.

So here’s what I can’t do right now:
⚡️ Last-minute edits
⚡️ 24-hour turnarounds
⚡️ Rush jobs

But here’s what I can do, and do really well:
✅ Deliver polished, professional episodes
✅ With all the right cuts, sound levels, music, and love
✅ Ready well before your go-live date

That’s why I ask all my lovely clients to send through their raw recordings 2 weeks in advance. It means there’s time for thoughtful edits, final approvals, and if needed — space to make any changes without panic.

Of course there are sometimes exceptions, but this boundary protects my capacity as a mum and it protects the quality of your podcast.

I’m so grateful to work with people who get that ❤️
