Chrysanthemum, amazingly moving short by Jolin Lee produced by L***y Productions that I worked on, teaching a very young non-english speaking actress to sell a slap.

We started by playing with dolls in the office, showing her what was going to happen in the scene. Using the dolls to show her that she was not going to be slapped and how using our phones we could make it look like the dolls were being slapped but nowhere near the hand. Then working her with the actor and chaperone to where she could time her reaction and feel safe.

When her daughter mysteriously vanishes in a garden centre, an anguished gardenerdevelops an unhealthy relationship with a chrysanthemum plant. ...
