Imagine a school system that constantly labels your child the aggressor—when the truth is, he’s been taunted, pushed, and provoked until he finally breaks. Imagine teachers turning a blind eye, showing favoritism, while the bullies face no real consequences.

Now imagine this: you pick up your 13-year-old son from school after another “fight,” a fight that only happened because he was defending himself once again. You bring him home, believing he’s safe. He goes to his room, and you think he’s resting. But instead, you walk in to find the unimaginable—your sweet boy deciding he could no longer stay in this world. A mother’s pain beyond words. A moment that replays endlessly. Never again will you hear his laughter, his voice asking for a new game, the late-night clatter in the kitchen from teenage hunger, or the joyful noise of him filling your home. Never again—because of bullying. Our family has fought this system for years. We even changed schools, desperate for a solution, only to face the same injustice again.

So before anyone dares to place blame—know this: Mahonlai was deeply, fiercely loved by his family. The accountability belongs to the school system, the bullies, and the parents who allowed this to continue.

Malo Soana ‘ae ngaue moe tokoni’i kakai mei Tonga hau kihe toli. Good on you for having the courage as a Contractor to speak on this on-going issue that’s becoming a joke with Seasonal Workers whom are married having affairs (feauaki). Maybe the two ministers of Tonga and Aus need to review criterias of being eligible or separate mens from womens at these workplaces? Here’s the issue that small minded and ignorant people don’t understand :
-It causes problems for the contractors and the workplace due to these types of individuals and those that run away etc
-Cancelation of your visa and you to have hide from being caught by immigration
-Waste of money and resources (visa) to bring them over to work
-Breaking up homes leaving wife/husband and kids back in Tonga left neglected
-Fkngangau ulu kihe etau ilo moe sio 🤪
