Miriam and Philip are community health worker graduates from Kapuna Training School – they now work at a remote hospital in Poroi, in the Purari delta of Gulf Province. They are trained health workers whose studies were made possible under the Australia Awards in PNG scholarship program, supported through the PNG and Australian government partnership.
Miriam and Philip work under the National Volunteer Service and their commitment to their vocation is making a difference in the lives of the people of Poroi.

When we first talked to the team at Digicel Foundation PNG about their support for the people working on the frontline to break the cycle of violence in PNG we knew that this was a team we wanted to get behind.

"We know that not all PNG men are violent men" this clip hopefully helps to show that there are amazing men out there who are building up a great generation and through real love, alleviatinf violence and preserving human dignity.

Digicel PNG's foundation's Men of Honour Campaign is designed to identify and recognize stories of honourable men to share in the public domain to create a top of the mind awareness for attitude change.
