POOLS have created something special with You & Us. One of my all time favorite and extremly talented vocalists , Arvid Hällagård joins forces with the exceptional Fredrik Forell. The record “follows the painful journey of putting a relationship to rest, recognising its shortcomings and beginning to move on”. The Swedish duo take the many facets of Americana and Folk and slide in some savvy synths along the way. A culmination of genres, personas and experiences make this a vital piece to hurt and heal ones heart.
This gets spun plenty and this time round was enhanced with a sexy Sawmill Hazy IPA. A juicy drop with just the right amount of sting. 🦂🍻🖤

Spinning records is thirsty work!!
Thanks to Desert Records, I now have the latest Nebula Drag album, Western Death, to work up a thirst with. This super psychedelic pressing is in stark contrast to the wicked black and grey record sleeve artwork by San Diego tattoo artist Jordan Lentz. Paired with an outstanding beer from Burial Beer Co. adorned with incredible David Paul Seymour artwork, I am frothin’ in my coffin!!

Desert Records sent an epic package my way with some killer records!!
And I have been frothing over the new Red Mesa album, Partial Distortions. Evolving their sound towards a dark and sinister desert doom this album crushes any preconceived notion of what sounds the New Mexico desert may emanate!!
A massive Thank You to Brad, Irish & Roman for signing the test press and crafting such a killer album!!
I loved pairing the album with a Garage Project Red Rocks Reserve, which was damn tasty!!

To say Sleep Moscow gets spun a lot in the Blind Mouse basement, is an understatement. Usually towards the end of the night, but earlier if the melancholy mood needs. Paired up with the Behemoth brew, Iron Harvest, it doesn’t get any more Moscow without being in Russia itself!!
Arvid John Hällagård displays his vocal ability to draw raw emotion from his voice. Along with Petter Kindström as the main driver of this project, they offer a tender take for those that dwell in the heavy underground. A big ‘thank you’ to Martin Ludl for being my guiding light on this one, and for the epic video to Of the Sun.
