From humble beginnings, Flux has grown into a world-class studio with over 20 permanent talented designers, animators and directors producing international commercials, television series and films. We are ecstatic to share how A Minecraft Movie's "Hunk City Rampage" was brought to life! Our goal was to capture the classic look and feel of retro arcade games like Double Dragon II and Final Fight. Taking inspiration from late '80s beat 'em up games, the animation was crafted frame-by-frame through hand-drawn environments and sprites... lots of sprites.

Huge thanks to Jared Hess and Torfi Frans Ólafsson for the amazing opportunity! Bringing to life the game that made Garret "The Garbage Man" Garrison 1989’s Gamer of the Year was an absolute blast.
