From our city life in Singapore to an outdoor life in New Zealand.
The boys were 3 and 2 back then.
We have always dreamt of an outdoor lifestyle since having kids.
We showed up in winter, summer, rain, snow and hail 🫣. There’s no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing 😅

No regrets and more hiking trails to tick ✅

The kids learn problem solving, critical thinking and awareness when they’re outdoors. They’re also braver, self-aware, unbothered of material things and appreciate the simplicity of the things they carry.

One thing that stuck with me while talking to another parent in one of the huts, “we should teach this generation to appreciate and look after the natural resources in New Zealand”.
