A new school year is the perfect time to refresh the resources that build rich language and confident learners.

Teachers trust Jill Eggleton's literacy resources because they combine purposeful teaching with content children genuinely enjoy.

Through shared reading, poetry, and small-group learning, students:
• Grow vocabulary and oral language
• Strengthen comprehension and thinking
• Notice patterns in words and sounds
• Build confidence as readers and writers
• Develop a love of language

These are the resources many teachers return to year after year because they work in real classrooms with real learners.

Back-to-School offers* are on now.
Ending February 27th.

If you're planning your literacy programme for the year ahead, now is the time to make sure your classroom is well-resourced from the start.

Explore the BTS offers available, especially Jill's new poems for Yr 3 and Y4.

*Offers only available from https://www.globaled.co.nz. Not available in North America at this time.

Celebrating Black History Month!

This February, we honour the abolitionist, orator, and writer Frederick Douglass. Born into slavery, Douglass taught himself to read despite laws forbidding it, proving that education is one of our most powerful tools for liberation. His words continue to inspire us to break down barriers and ensure every learner has access to the transformative power of literacy.

It’s impossible to feel anxious about reading when you’re laughing. That’s why so many of Jill Eggleton's stories and poems incorporate humour. Humour engages students and helps them see that reading can be fun, not just something they have to do to get through the school day.

Shared reading is powerful. It is context-rich. It allows students to apply what they have learned through direct instruction to authentic text. It is meaningful, engaging, and purposeful.

But not just any text will do.

Jill Eggleton's shared books are written purposely for reading-with (whole-class) and include a 5-day lesson plan (at point of use) for each title that focuses on a skill for each day.

A Teacher’s Gift

Through a year of changes and challenges, classroom doors have closed for 2025.

May you have time to reflect on the gift you have given to young lives. It is a gift wrapped in care, kindness, encouragement, support, guidance, inspiration and acceptance of every diversity. It is an intangible gift that keeps on giving. For great is your gift of real, heartfelt investment in the lives of the learners you have touched.

May you in turn be wrapped in the gift of love, joy, peace and hope, as you enjoy a well deserved break.

With every good wish,
Jill Eggleton
