Congratulations to CHAII for her Aotearoa Music Awards nominations this year. It's so amazing to see her incredible talent firmly in the spotlight, with six award nominations.

CHAII's 'Safar' album has nominations for Te Tino Pukaemi o te Tau / Album of the Year, Te Manu Taki Tāhiko o te Tau / Best Electronic Artist and Te Taumata o te Kaiwhakaputa / Best Producer, the song 'We Be Killing It' is nominated for Te Tino Waiata o te Tau / Single of the Year and the song 'Night Like This' is nominated for Te Taumata o te Ataata / Best Music Video Content. Jason Parker’s new single Happy Days is out now!

Continuing his journey to fulfill his ‘Popstar Fantasy,’ this bittersweet track draws from personal experiences of love, loss, and hope, encapsulating the complexities of life while spreading his signature message of positivity.

Inspired by his youngest brother, Jake, Parker reflects, “He’s always smiling and saying ‘happy days’ when we’re together, and I was really missing him when I wrote this song.”

Collaborating with producer , Parker found the perfect vibe for the track. “There’s no ego, only ideas and laughter,” he says of their creative partnership. The cover art, photographed by , adds a visual layer that ties into the EP’s broader concept.

Parker hopes this song brings hope to listeners during tough times. “Maybe this song will remind them that happy days are coming.”

It was an honour to work with Penguin Random House New Zealand to produce Aotearoa’s classic The Bone People by Keri Hulme in audiobook format.

With narration and original taonga pūoro music by writer/ musician Ruby Solly (Kāi Tahu, Waitaha, Kāti Māmoe), the mesmerising Booker prize winner tracks the complicated relationships between three outcasts: Kerewin, an artist estranged from her family and art; a mute boy called Simon, who tries to steal from her; and his tender but brutal foster father Joe.
