On this day in 1990, The Stone Roses were each fined £3,000 for vandalising the offices of their former record label, FM-Revolver.

The incident came after the label re-released their early single “Sally Cinnamon” without the band’s consent. In what they described as a “revenge attack,” band members - including Ian Brown and John Squire - splattered the office and the owner’s car with paint, ultimately landing them in Wolverhampton Crown Court.
