We had an amazing time offering our beautiful Anahera Press poetry titles for sale at the Poetry Takeover event in Aotea Square last night. It was fun checking out all of the poetry-related activities going on around the square as well as hearing the talented poets sharing their words on the main stage. We loved having the chance to kōrero about poetry with people stopping by our stand, and yes we even sold a few books! A great event. Thank you to Auckland Live, curator Renee Liang and producer Melissa Laing.

NEW BOOK ANNOUNCEMENT:

We are delighted to announce that Anahera Press is publishing a new poetry book by beloved Moana poet Serie Barford. This is Serie’s third book with Anahera and we’re very proud to be her publisher. Thank you to Genie De Wit for the beautiful cover design. The image is a self-portrait by Serie.

Presales are available now on the Anahera Press website. Because the publication of this book is time sensitive, given Serie’s health, we decided to forge ahead and publish without a grant. To support our efforts, please consider ordering a presale copy. Presales help us raise money to cover the production costs of the book. Your book will be shipped directly to you by the release date.
