Kiwa Digital

Kiwa Digital Kiwa Digital is a world-leading cultural creative agency. At KIWA®, we pride ourselves on using cutting edge technology to create cutting edge experiences.

Founded in 2003 by award-winning film and television producer Rhonda Kite, KIWA® was initially established as a post-production software company. Our first software product was Voice-Q, a tool designed to automatically dub foreign-language dialogue in movies. Voice-Q is used in studios worldwide, including at Disney and 20th Century Fox, and in 2007 won the prestigious Hollywood Post Alliance Engi

neering Excellence Award. After helping to revolutionise the post-production industry, KIWA® began to look at doing the same thing for books. Despite advances made in digital publishing, creating e-books today is seen as little more than creating an electronic representation of the same text and images. At KIWA®, we see technology as an enabler. To us, an unused feature is a missed opportunity. We go a step further than scanning and reformatting content — we add to it and rarify it, making worlds come to life in a way authors have always wished for. KIWA® experiential books are kinaesthetic and tactile. Our titles are not just books; they are immersive, interactive, and instructive experiences.

In today’s age, when technology can often leave us feeling disconnected from our cultural roots, Cherokee Nation is proving that innovation and tradition can go hand in hand. This is especially true when it comes to supporting our elders, our first-language speakers, and our families.

The Cherokee Nation's language strategy is genuinely world-leading. It is a privilege to work together to deliver technology that aligns with their vision, governance, and long-term aspirations. ᏂᏓᏙᏓᏈᏒ, ᏣᎳᎩ ᎢᏥᏬᏂᏍᎨᏍᏗ. Speak Cherokee Every Day.

The Cherokee Nation’s approach to language revitalisation has shown how Indigenous languages can move beyond preservation and back into everyday use.

Reclaiming the Narrative
with Ashley Riddell, Kiwa Digital

How can technology serve Indigenous communities in protecting language, knowledge and identity — rather than simply digitising culture?

In this thought-provoking session, Ashley Riddell will share Kiwa Digital’s powerful approach to developing tools like CultureQ®, Ao Marama, and E heke e Heka! — platforms created to help communities capture stories in their own voices, on their own terms, while maintaining cultural integrity.

As Elders age and languages risk being lost, this presentation asks a vital question: Will we capture these stories in time — with mana — for the voices of the future?
